Samantha Johnson

Samantha (a.k.a Sam) is a wife, and a mother of three precious children. Over the years, before ever knowing about what a postpartum doula did, she was naturally taking on the role of supporting and caring for family and friends especially during the pregnancy and postpartum periods. Her own postpartum experiences and struggles are what ultimately led her to pursue her calling as a postpartum doula. She is a self-studied and professionally trained postpartum doula, and has over 18 years of experience supporting mothers. She is also a Grace For Mothers certified birth doula trained directly under Anita. With real life experience breastfeeding her two youngest children and also a postpartum anxiety / depression survivor, she is an advocate of lactation and maternal mental health education and  supports others with encouragement, resources, etc. She is pursuing her bachelors degree in psychology through Liberty University, and is also an Ambassador with 2020Mom providing maternal mental health resources to the local community. Her belief is that supported moms are empowered moms, and that every woman deserves to be treated with care and respect. Her must haves are coffee, Dr. Pepper, concealer, and a whole lot of Jesus!
